NOVOMEGA™ softgel capsules contain a high concentration of the Omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, derived from Schizochytrium sp. microalgae cultivated under controlled conditions in a clean, closed environment. The product is suitable for vegans.
Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) are long-chain polyunsaturated Omega-3 fatty acids that play an essential role in numerous biochemical processes in the body. They support cardiovascular health as well as normal brain function.
These fatty acids are typically obtained through the consumption of fish and other seafood. However, many people do not consume sufficient amounts of Omega-3 through their daily diet. NOVOMEGA™ therefore provides a concentrated source of both EPA and DHA, offering one of the highest EPA concentrations currently available among algae-based Omega-3 products.
A daily dose of 2–4 vegetarian softgel capsules provides 1000–2000 mg of Omega-3 fatty acids.
The capsule shell is made from pea starch, ensuring that the product contains no ingredients of animal or fish origin.
The recommended daily dose of NOVOMEGA™ also provides 8–16 mg of Vitamin E, which helps protect cells against oxidative stress.
Recommended use: Adults should take 2–4 capsules daily, preferably with water. The capsules may be taken at the same time.
